This feature is now available with the 2020 release. It can be used to crop the mesh.

  1. You may want to apply the correct model orientation first

  2. compute all nodes (at least up to the Meshing node)

  3. right-click on the Meshing node and select "Duplicate Nodes from Here" (this is required to avoid the invalidation of the Meshing node. We need the Mesh as a reference to position the Bounding Box later)

  1. In the new Meshing2 node, enable the "Custom Bounding Box" checkbox

  2. Double click on the Meshing2 node to load the Bounding box. It will be visible in the 3D Viewer.

  1. Now you can use the original Meshing node as reference and adjust the Bounding box for the Meshing2 node. It is recommended to disable the Bounding Box Gizmo once the Bounding box is positioned to avoid accidentally changes!

  2. Compute the duplicated nodes with the adjusted bounding box. Disable the old Mesh to see your cropped results.
