RTL is broken with the latest alpha

The caret never actually appears where it should - text is usually placed a bit to the right of it. It's extremely confusing to type like that :-(
Also, keyboard arrows move the other way around - i.e. right key takes you left and so on.

I looked into Aloha because it says in many places that it has good RTL support. was it dropped out for some reason? should I try an earlier version?
