Can't run npm commands on windows #217

Single quotes and semicolons don't work as expected on windows. Closes #217

When running this:

I get this:
Which is due to the fact that

is not valid in windows. It'd be nice to make dev scripts more cross platform compatible so that one can develop more easily on windows too.In addition to using
