Hello
Once again I would like to request that you prioritize providing the latest major.minor versions of PHP whenenver they become available. Over the last (almost) decade, lack of access to the latest PHP version has been plaguing Elastic Beanstalk. PHP 8.3 took over 7 months to become available after the official release. That is simply too long. PHP 8.4 will be released on November 21, 2024, which is in just over 4 months as of this post. Please plan ahead. The first alpha version is already available, and the first RC will be released on September 26. See this schedule for details.
Is this request specific to an Elastic Beanstalk platform?
If so, which one(s)?

Tell us about the problem you're trying to solve. What are you trying to do, and why is it hard?
Keeping PHP up to date is important for users of Elastic Beanstalk.
If you plan to provide these updates with a delay of ~6 months, and this is "as intended", please let us know. I realize there may be reasons that are not obvious to users of EB (although I find it hard to think of them), but the lack of transparency/communication is a little frustrating.
