@Wendi-West Thanks for the submission !!
I had some questions -
1- Is there anywhere else on the website that displays speaker and attendee demographics ? The current link in speaker demographics doesn't really satisfy the Diversity and Inclusion metrics

2- Is there a process where the Event requests feedback from attendees regarding their Diversity & Inclusion experience ?

Thanks for your support and I look forward to your responses !!

Hi @Dhruv-Sachdev1313

Thank you for reviewing our application. Please find the answers to your questions below:

  1. CNCF publishes a transparency report following each event that includes attendee and speaker demographic information. These conference transparency reports are published and can be viewed on the CNCF website: [https://www.cncf.io/reports/#conference-transparency-reports]The reports are also shared with the Marketing Committee to distribute and posted on Social Media. Prior to the full transparency report being completed, attendee and speaker demographic information is part of an infographic that is also shared with the Sponsors, Marketing Committee and on Social Media.

  2. On the Diversity + Inclusion page https://events.linuxfoundation.org/kubecon-cloudnativecon-europe/attend/diversity-inclusion/#contact-us of the event website we have a section to contact us "If you have ideas on how we can create a more inclusive event, please do not hesitate to let us know. Contact Angela Brown, General Manager of Events, at angela@linuxfoundation.org" Additionally, we have a D+I Slack Channel where attendees can provide feedback, and on the registration form if someone selected that they have a dis/ability we have a follow up question asking for details regarding the dis/ability that we should be mindful of as we try to accommodate everyone for this event. We run registration reports for the dis/ability question once a week to make note of any suggestions / comments / feedback.

Let me know if I answered your questions, or if you need any further information or explanation.

Thank you!!!
Wendi

@Wendi-West Thank you for your response !!

I did go through the tranparency reports , Display of demographics seems pretty good to me , but we always recommend to display the demographics on the event page where it is findable and easily visible. Adding a reference to the report on the event website would help.

I have updated my review,
Thanks again for applying !!

@Dhruv-Sachdev1313 Thank you for the feedback! Yes, I'm realizing through this process that displaying demographics on the event website would be good and can maybe post past event to show as an example, etc. And/or linking to the transparency reports on the event website as well. I can probably get the transparency report link added prior to this event. And then will be working on the demographic listings specifically for our North American event in October, and future events.
