Safe updates and merging notetypes (create a testing profile) #156

In general it's safe to merge notetypes.
This will update your old cards to the new styles.

If you're risk averse ...

  1. Go to File -> Switch Profile.
  2. Add a new profile name
  3. Open it.
  4. Create a new Anki Web account
  5. Sync it with your new testing profile

Now you can back up and import your old deck, test it with the new one, and keep your 🤞 ...

It's also easy to to manually change to the new note types

Change Note Type ... and select the new one that most closely matches it.
