I see you made some really clean changes to qemu's source and was curious what the status was on contributing them upstream, so they might be installed by default in the future.

Hi xloem, thank you!

I proposed a patch to the official qemu-devel mailing list some time ago [1].

Basically, they asked to refine the code and propose a test for the patch, but I think it's possible to merge this code with the upstream.

Unfortunately I'm a little busy today, I have the qtest module and the polished patch in my local work directory, I will retry tomorrow with a new patch and dedicate the weekend to this task.

Let's see how it goes this time :)

Thanks for the feedback. I was mostly just curious what the status was, and thought future visitors would be curious.
