With the new update, when I search I can not get to anything I normally search for.

I will attach examples below, but if there is a parenthesis or anything before a word, you must now include it in the search window.

  • Incredibly annoying!

Please Fix!

A workaround I found, was to add a space after any characters, but that is kind of a pain to have to go through all my vault items to update.

Just noticed this was submitted under the "Web" repo, so I edited the title to clarify it is the same everywhere.

Thanks!

This has to do with the fact that we no longer automatically perform leading wildcard searches on names due to this bug: olivernn/lunr.js#368

You could do it manually though with searching *cmc

When I try with "(CMC" it loads instantly, but any search I try with "*cmc" or "*anything" Bitwarden seems to lock up.

I typically only use the Chrome Extension, and that is the only place I have tested this out.

I have just been adding a SPACE in between the characters and the letters, so if it is ( CMC ) I can just search "cmc" and it shows instantly. Not ideal, but it is an easy enough fix on my end just updating one at a time when I use that vault item.

Thanks for replying.
