Before proceeding with the UI Design Library, we are assuming that you are already aware about the basics of HTML, CSS and Twitter Bootstrap. If you are not well aware of these concepts then we suggest that you go through an overview of Bootstrap.
Download the latest version of UI Design Library here.
- Download CSS/LESS: Download the precompiled and minified versions of UI Design Library CSS, SVG image, and less. No documentation or original source code files are included.
- View on Github: Get the latest UI Design Library and JavaScript source code directly from GitHub.
If you have downloaded the UI Design Library source code then the file structure would be as follows:
CSS: Global CSS settings and enhanced with extensible classes with an advanced grid system.
Images: Fundamental SVG images for icons.
Less: The usptostrap.less file uses @import to merge all the LESS files at compilation time.
A basic HTML template using UI Design Library would look like this:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>UI Design Library </title>
<!-- USPTO Pattern Library CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/usptostrap.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome to USPTO</h1>
</body>
</html>
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>UI Design Library </title>
<!-- USPTO Pattern Library CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/usptostrap.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome to USPTO</h1>
<!-- jQuery library -->
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
<!-- Latest compiled JavaScript -->
<script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
All third party style sheets should be included after the UI Design Library CSS files.
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>UI Design Library </title>
<!-- USPTO Pattern Library CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/usptostrap.min.css">
<!-- USPTO Global Header CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/uspto-header-styles.min.css">
</head>
<body>
<h1>Welcome to USPTO</h1>
</body>
</html>
To apply additional styling to your web application, simply add the proper code to your custom-styles.css file and include that file after all style sheets. There is no need to edit any of the original UI Design Library files directly.
