Screen artifacts with some elements, e.g. checkboxes

Description

I'm seeing some artefacts, mostly with checkbox elements in js popups, that are not present in Google Chrome, but exist in Brave Browser Dev.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open any page that you know has checkboxes
2. Start clicking them (checking on and off), or the space around

No visible artefacts.

Always.

No.

Website problems only:

• Does the issue resolve itself when disabling Brave Shields?
  No, it doesn't matter.
• Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Chrome?
  No.

Looks like the same issue as #1160 but also being seen in 0.55.4 (#1160 was reported on 0.55.3)

Let's re-open it if we see this again after some new builds come out
