Description

I have multiple brave windows running using different profiles, on different desktop workspaces. Until a few days ago clicking on a link in an external app (eg: in a terminal window) opened it in the browser on the current workspace. Now it is opened in the browser instance that had the focus most recently.
I have not installed any desktop environment updates or have changed settings.

Linux Mint 20, Cinnamon

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a Brave window 1 on workspace 1; open a Brave widow 2 on workspace 2
  2. Switch to workspace 1 without focusing on the browser and click on a link in a terminal

Actual result:

My desktop environment has switched workspaces to show me browser 2 that opened the link

Expected result:

Browser 1 on workspace 1 where I clicked the link should have opened the link

Reproduces how often:

Always
