Some progress? |
I'm running Brave in a Fedora 30 singularity instance on a Centos 7 host [1] However, this detects my timezone incorrectly as UTC, causing problems with some sites (remember the milk in particular). It is not really clear to me how Brave determines the timezone. Just doing 'date' in a container instance shows the correct timezone. So I guess is that Brave uses some other method that fails and therefore defaults to UTC. Being able to specify the timezone would solve this problem. Also related is reducing the granularity of the timezone info available to websites. |
