My most-used pinned tab is gmail, but it keeps disappearing. As in, at a certain moment, I open a new window, and the gmail pin is missing. It is subsequently impossible to put it back, see #11694.
This has happened on at least two of my machines, a Windows 10 laptop and an Ubuntu 16.04.3 desktop. Brave versions 0.19.139 or 0.19.134, but happened before that as well. The two machines are synced (together with some other machines), this might matter.
The gmail pin has disappeared several times, and it is always gmail that disappears. After that, all new pins disappear, see #11694, but it always seem to start with gmail and no other existing pins disappear.
It could also be that gmail is the very first tab that I pin. That is, maybe it's always the first pinned tab that disappears, which happens to always be gmail for me (not sure).
Steps to Reproduce
Use brave normally. I'm not regularly adding pins. I am opening/closing windows perhaps once an hour or so. The pinned tab disappears about once a month.
Actual result:
Gmail pin disappears.
Expected result:
Gmail pin remains.
Reproduces how often:
Happens about once a month on average it seems. Daily Brave use.
Brave Version
This is posted from windows, but also applies to Ubuntu.

They all disappear one by one, it's not just a thing of your Gmail tab. I had 5 pinned elements, after a couple of days one disappeared, another one... and one week later I have zero pinned elements. If I start removing elements, sometimes one of my pinned elements appear, but it will disappear soon.
Thanks @daquinons for verifying it's not just me or my particular tabs.
Also I noticed that through perseverance it is possible to put the pinned tabs back. I originally had trouble making the disappeared pins persistent again, but I could get them back by just trying it like 10 times.
All these many small things combined are starting to make it kinda frustrating to use Brave in my opinion. I get annoyed by the "13 minutes time saved" on the new tab page because this has been offset by (for example) putting pinned tabs back.
