Eleventy/Vite starter set

Note: Further development suspended as of 2021-09-11.

This is a starter set for the Eleventy static site generator (SSG). See the online demo. Of course, there are many far better ones on the Eleventy “Starter Projects” page!

How to use

Clone this to a local repo.
Make appropriate changes to /_data/metadata.json and _data/siteparams.json to conform to your site’s parameters.
Run npm install to load all the dependencies in package.json, which includes Eleventy.
Run npm run start from your terminal app. You can then view the site in http://localhost:8080 on your computer.
Read the sample posts and their Markdown files to see how everything works.
Edit the content to make it your own!
When ready, deploy the site to your chosen host.

Build processing through Vite, borrowing heavily from the eleventy-with-vite repo by Fotis Papadogeorgopoulos, as explained in "Eleventy + Vite = elite."
Responsive images through the eleventy-img plugin and an image shortcode.
PostCSS and Tailwind CSS. As of version 2.1.0, Tailwind includes the still-in-preview @tailwindcss/jit library; read more about it in this announcement.
