@saudet I'm hitting the same issue. What would be involved in making such a contribution? I imagine this is a fairly common question -- please feel free to point me to a FAQ page, if one exists! Sorry, I couldn't find it myself.

Someone basically just needs to get cross compilation working, for example, see HDFGroup/hdf5#1203.

Note that with HDFGroup/hdf5#3104 cross compilation should be significantly easier. This has been released yet though.

This seems to be released in hdf5 1.14.3 now. Is it now easier to configure for arm64?
