FIgure out how to make margins fix and y axis of TMB plot align "automagically"

I have to do finagling of text sizes and plot.margin theme argument if the data change too much.

Things I tried so far:

• ggpubr makes me have to adjust and doesn't seem to be aligning my y-axes.

• Patchwork doesn't like my themes even when I try to minimize them to "essentials":

• And cowplot is ignoring my align = "v" argument:
