In the real world, Gasoline engines can burn concentrated alcohol and as a fuel it has different but workable properties. This is some research on the subject from a quick google search.

Alcohol is less fuel efficient than Gasoline to name a big drawback, which would be represented based on its energy density as a fuel property. You can see the conversion process here:

These links are readily available by searching "gas engines burning concentrated alcohol" and "convert gas engine to alcohol"
In gameplay, being able to craft an alternative to Gasoline would allow more usage of a gas engine, compared to crafting lamp oil and biodiesel for the Diesel engines. It is less fuel efficient and energy dense than Gasoline and the JSON already reflects this. I believe converting the car to run on concentrated alcohol would be a trivial task with the existing tools and crafts we already have. This conversion could be represented as an engine modification for full realism, or as simply replacing the fuel in the gas tank with ethanol. Since alcohol does not readily vaporize at cold temperatures it would also have trouble starting in cold weather if possible via flags. This can be mitigated however with several solutions such as a manual choke, which we can assume either is already installed on the car or is a trivial part a survivor would install anyway.
