Editing my comment in order to give some more info about the SIG membership and perhaps we can start our very first discussion on this topic if anyone wants to add their view.

As far as I can tell, the CDF SIGs that were formed before SIG Interoperability haven't adapted an explicit governance which is totally fine. I think we should adapt a governance and document our process which could be very lightweight to answer common questions people might ask like how the SIG is governed, how to become a member to the SIG, what are the additional roles if the community decides we need any, and so on. I think these, the SIG governance and processes, could be good topics for the very first meeting to hear what everyone thinks.

As reference, I want to link the document CNCF has with regards to the SIGs. [0] As noted there, SIG membership is self-declared and I think this is good as we need participation and contribution from everyone who is interested to contribute. [1]
