QGIS (https://www.qgis.org/) is an open source Geographical Information System released under the GPL 2 licence (https://qgis.org/license/) available for Linux, Windows and Macintosh.

QGIS supports a large number of data formats, including netCDF via the GDAL library (https://docs.qgis.org/3.34/en/docs/user_manual/managing_data_source/opening_data.html).

During the import of netCDF files, the CF-encoded information about the coordinate reference system (CRS) is used to display the netCDF data with the correct geo-referencing.

As with other GIS systems, QGIS allows the combination of data from different sources.

As ArcGIS ist listed on the CF-website as a commercial GIS system, I propose to add the open source QGIS as well to the list of CF-aware software on the CF-Website at ttps://cfconventions.org/software.html
