While waiting for feedback I was browsing thought the Meshlab tools and I found the Compute Planar Section and I thought I had found the holy grail to solving my problem. I then tried the following but the results are not satisfactory: 1- Opend the mesh in Meshlab and created a polyline. |

Hi,
I use Meshlab as part of the workflow to generate 3D tile sets of rock climbing walls freely available to all at 3drockmaps.com.
Given two meshes of the same object with a different Level of Detail (different number of triangles) is it possible to generate two uniform resampled meshes with overlapping edges?
I have tried scaling and aligning the two bounding boxes to match precisely and used multiples for the 'Precision' parameter in the Uniform Mesh Resampling filter, however I always get an offset between the meshes as indicated by the outlined squares in the following figure:
What am I missing?
Thanks
Carl
PS Great work!
