Hello. Transfer Vertex Attributes to Texture is an AWESOME feature. I'm transferring point cloud color to a remeshed and UVmapped mesh with it.
YET, there is an small thing that is not allowing the full potential of the tool to be achieved. It is that the gaps, are filled with black color.
I would suggest 2 things.
The gaps be transparent. This would be a great option so people can interpolate or not in their photo editing software.
Interpolate gaps with nearby colors. May be, add option to parts of the texture falling out of the target mesh to not be interpolated, so background can be kept with solid color or tranparent.
I've attached an image of how the X pattern of the scanner is transferred to the texture. Sadly it is noticeable in the 3d textured model. Adding the alpha version is probably trivial so adding such checkbox and also making it accesible from command line, to me would be enough, yet interpolation would be super convenient _:D
