Background information:

Fundamentlly, it is outdated. it still says things like mariadb is in beta. this is unacceptable. see the note from here: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/installing-galera-from-source/

"Starting from MariaDB 10.1, the wsrep API for Galera Cluster is included by default. Follow the usual compiling-mariadb-from-source instructions'"

which then comes here https://mariadb.com/kb/en/compiling-mariadb-from-source/
