Rosetta 2 isn't always installed by default on M1 Macs, but it is possible to install it through the Terminal: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/how-to-check-if-rosetta-2-is-installed-solved.2287833/post-29822187

Nexus Tools should install the Rosetta layer if needed as part of the installation process.
