innerHTML easily allows custom markers, but why even use this plugin?

This sentence show me innerHTML is NOT overlay but replacement.

Then it will be nice to see overlayHTML to use all your awesome plugin's power with some customization.

Or just a function to get plugin's HTML and modify it.
