René Spronk: The VSCode extension is nice.. but doesn't work on all laptops [e.g. it has never worked on mine] - from what I hear it's somewhat finicky to keep it running.

When asked for more details, this was provided:

[Error - 1:10:09 AM] Starting client failed
Launching server using command C:\Users\Ringholm\AppData\Local\Programs\Microsoft VS Code\undefined\bin\java failed.

I know we need to know more, but not sure what to ask for.

there's a fix in here somewhere I can't find it . but essentially you have to install the first version and it installs java for you. and then you can upgrade it.
