Posting too many updates to activity

Currently a new update is posted every time someone likes a post, but what is numerous people like one update? There's no point having 20 different updates, one amalgamated update would work better. i.ie having an update like so 'Darren, Sean and 20 other people like John's update"

Any feedback on this would be appreciated. Are you finding there's too many updates? Do you have them turned off?
