Currently, dat pull <link> does not quit upon completion, despite the documentation saying it should. It stays in sync mode until manual abort and @mafintosh confirmed it was not a wontfix, so I am posting it as an issue.

update dat & exit

At the time of posting I'm running v13.9.2.

Let me know if you need anything else from my end (or testing of a fix!)

Thanks, I'll check it out.

It may be not exiting if you run pull and nothing has changed. But it should tell you that and exit regardless.

I thought that this is the main difference between sync and pull. But then it looks like they behave very much the same (for the purpose of downloading)?

+1 for this. I'm building a dat gateway that currently has to delete the entire dat archive before it's opened in order to guarantee users don't get stuck on opening a dat archive that doesn't have an update.
