A Call has been held on November 15th, and @froger posted the following information on telegram channel as result:
Hi, the call is done, thanks @ahukkanen , Simonas and Pauline Besoles to have participated 🎉
Here some FAQ I've compiled from our talk:
❓Can we write any kind of agreements, like coding conventions for DICE modules?
Yes and it’s the place! There are some agreements that will speak to some people and other not. That’s part of the process.
❓Are we taking decision on this video call?
No it’s all async, on murmur.
There is also the “fast track” when the decision is more urgent, we go directly in third phase. It’s up to the proposer to decide which track he wants to take.
❓Metadecidim is opening a space for the community, couldn’t we use that for decision making?
I have some objections with metadecidim processes to take decisions: we want to try agreements, decide fast and iterate. Opening a conversation on every agreements is time consuming, and I see a harm starting DICE taking decision on metadecidim. Murmur allows us to take any kind of decision in a week, and have feedback in every quarter or six months.
I don’t know if later on metadecidim will be a good option, be don’t see it as a viable decision making platform for a new group. In anyway, we can discuss this on mumur, objections welcome 🎁
❓Murmur, Element, Telegram, Metadecidim, it is a lot of platform. How can we make the thing easier?
You can suggest on the proposal https://app.murmur.com/invitation/proposal/AScJr4EMHX that Hadrien stays also accountable to publish on telegram for example. He will then adapt the proposal if he feels to, and after amendment you can use objection turn if the proposal looks harmful (too much tools and disturbing app is a good objection).
❓The proposer of an agreement stays accountable to make the agreement happen?
No, you need to be clear about who stays accountable for what in your agreements.
❓Can we have the main murmur agreements in public?
I think yes, I need to check.
❓Can we export the existing agreements to go somewhere else?
I don’t know, raising a support ticket.
❓How much time take a full decision making process?
I am not sure 100%, but I think it's minimum two working days per phase (so a week+1day). You can use the fast track to have it faster if really needed.
