I find bandit to be almost entirely unhelpful and I think it certainly hurts more than it helps. Consider removing it from the linting suite.

Update (March 18)

I am going to move forward with this. Tasks:

  • Remove bandit from requirements_dev.txt
  • Remove line running bandit from docker/lint.sh
