On October 2021 the Internet Archive released Refcat, a citation graph dataset for the items in the IA's fatcat catalog. More info here: https://guide.fatcat.wiki/reference_graph.html

The reference catalog is available for download, and two versions are available to date, the latest from January 2022.

The fatcat catalog says to be user-editable. Does this mean that refcat is editable too? If so, uploading to Refcat may be implemented.

Also, it looks like one of the main purpose of fatcat is to catalog scientific articles to store them indefinitely in the Internet Archive.
It might be more a job for a wikidata bot but it might be possible to ensure that an article is stored via cita ?
Or use cita as a backup PDF downloader via fatcat, if Zotero doesn't find any PDF in the webpage of an article ?

Fatcat is also usable for end users via Internet Archive Scholar
