Also, it looks like one of the main purpose of fatcat is to catalog scientific articles to store them indefinitely in the Internet Archive.
It might be more a job for a wikidata bot but it might be possible to ensure that an article is stored via cita ?
Or use cita as a backup PDF downloader via fatcat, if Zotero doesn't find any PDF in the webpage of an article ?
On October 2021 the Internet Archive released Refcat, a citation graph dataset for the items in the IA's fatcat catalog. More info here: https://guide.fatcat.wiki/reference_graph.html
The reference catalog is available for download, and two versions are available to date, the latest from January 2022.
The fatcat catalog says to be user-editable. Does this mean that refcat is editable too? If so, uploading to Refcat may be implemented.
