Is there any way to prevent text in PDF from being selected?

I am trying to create big text watermark across entire page. So it overlaps PDF content. Is there any way to prevent text in PDF from being selected? Like user-select: none; in CSS

• make an SVG path from the watermark text so it will not be selectable
• place it under the text
