So I have tried to test this on Android Studio emulating a tablet, but haven't had much luck.

From what I have read, I don't see why you could not simply use pydroid 3, and then install dependencies and ImpDAR using its pip interface. I am sure there sill be some problem, but this seems easier to test on one of the actual tablets (where you are not sandboxed). It looks like pydroid even has pyqt packages, so you might even be able to pick data.

Sorry, but without having access to an actual Android device I am not sure I can help much with this in the end.
