That's a script in a new console application targeting .NET 4.7.

I can't repro this on 15.4.1.17081501:

I can repro this after typing gibberish in the path, pasting the script code, then re-typing the proper path:

Could this be related to #1944 or #1808? cc @dsyme

I'm trying to repro this, but can't do it yet. @vasily-kirichenko or @cartermp could you write out step-by-step repro steps for me please?

There is a variation of #1808, see #1808 (comment)

I believe that this is indeed that variation. What I encountered was exactly what you described there.
