question: writting extension in other languages

This project seems to expect users to write extension in C++, right?

I'm wondering if it would be possible to write extensions in another language, such as golang?

I'm asking this question, because https://steampipe.io/ lets users write plugins as compiled go binaries, and I was wondering if duckdb would allow the same thing

At the moment there are extensions or demo extensions working in:

• SQL (with C++ wrapper), like https://github.com/Alex-Monahan/pivot_table
• C++, like most core extensions
• C++ (via C-API interface), like extension/demo_capi in https://github.com/duckdb/duckdb
• Rust (via C++ wrapper), like https://github.com/duckdb/duckdb_delta and others
• Rust (via C-API interface), like the WIP https://github.com/samansmink/extension-template-rs
• Go (via C-API interface), like the WIP https://github.com/taniabogatsch/goofy-duck
• Zig (unsure, I think via C++), either https://github.com/rupurt/duckdb-extension-template-zig or https://github.com/softprops/zig-duckdb-ext

We should collect this informations and make them available, but the answer is "it's possible!"
