Description

After some time of active using of a workspace with Theia IDE current user is logged out from Keycloak, however the user is still able to work inside Theia. It is not comfortable to re-login when a user need to do something in the dashboard.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Create a workspace with Theia IDE and use it more then an hour
  2. Try to use dashboard from IDE (for example stop the workspace) or just refresh page in browser.

Environment

Fedora 29
minikube version: v0.30.0
Eclipse Che: multiuser 6.15.0-SNAPSHOT, http

This problem could be resolved by changing Keycloak configuration.

  1. Log-in in keycloak (for example, on minikube login page might be at http://keycloak-kube-che.192.168.99.100.nip.io).
  2. Go to Real Settings, Tokens tab.
  3. Set SSO Session Idle to desired value.
