Enhancement - Metricbeat is not able to run if it has no write access to path.data

• Steps to Reproduce:
  • Follow the steps at this link on a system where the filesystem is read-only.
  • It will stop with Failed to create the Beat meta file

I am aware this is somehow related to elastic/beats-docker#3 and #3422, but it is an interesting feature to provide within Kubernetes.
We may fallback to an in-memory metadata store or allow the user to provide a unique id.
