Description

When searching the room chat history (the magnifying class icon in the top right corner), Element-Desktop freezes / hangs.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open Element Desktop
  • Click on magnifying class in top right corner
  • Type <foo and enter

Element becomes unresponsive and after some seconds the app only shows a white background and has to be closed and reopened.

  • Ubuntu 21.04
  • Version: 1.7.24
