Steps

  1. Turn auto log in on
  2. Reboot
  3. Switch is again off while auto log in is enabled - /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

Investigation

  • user.get_automatic_login (); returns false after reboot even while I was auto logged in

Can confirm, I am having the same issue on my machine. Sadly I am not experienced enough to find a the solution. Traced it back to get_automatic_login same as above, but I am unsure where to go next. Possible bug with the account service lib?
