This is new functionality that would align the current digitized books export to HathiTrust with the Cor repository.

Describe the solution you'd like
Multiple user stories were previously identified including:

• As a Library Staff Depositor, I want to validate each digitized book's MARC record against SCO's guidelines for bibliographic maintenance for materials being packaged for HathiTrust , so that we assure conformity to the agreed documentation procedure for copyright clearance
• As a Library Staff Depositor, I want to associate an unprocessed digitized book with a job, so that they can be grouped for submission to HathiTrust
• As a Library Staff Depositor, I want to submit a job (group of digitized books) to HathiTrust and track submission progress, so that digitized books can be made available (disseminated) via HathiTrust
• As a Library Staff Depositor, I want to validate each digitized book against HathiTrust's deposit guidelines (https://www.hathitrust.org/deposit_guidelines), so that digitized books can successfully be disseminated to HathiTrust
• As a Library Staff Depositor, I want to get a report of any digitized books that do not pass validation, detailing the validation failures (applicable?), so that I have an opportunity to fix the issues with the digitized book, and to resubmit later
• As a Library Staff Depositor, I want to transform/package each digitized book into a HathiTrust SIP, so that the digitized book can be submitted to HathiTrust

Status quo: requires maintaining a legacy python application.

How will this impact users?
This impacts Kyle Fenton's digitization team specifically.
We are also in organizational agreement to submit materials to HathiTrust.

This feature would need more detailed requirements elaboration.

This enhancement is being discussed related to a formal project request. Our most current discussion is to propose that we do a Research and Recommend project in order to finalize requirements and scope the effort needed to do this, whether it is done through Curate or another platform.
