Not sure there is much here that is related to the kubernetes client project. This is largely an interaction between okhttp and spring reloading. The only thing that looks odd is the kotlin-stdlib dependency - it's neither the one referenced by the 4.0.1 release, nor is it the most up-to-date one - https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.squareup.okhttp3/okhttp/4.0.1
If trying a different dependency version doesn't help, you should be able to reproduce this issue outside of the kubernetes fabric8 client and create and issue with either okhttp or spring.
