Latex equation environment

Currently Lexical will accept 'inline math', e.g. $\frac{a}{b}$ ($\frac{a}{b}$). However, it won't recognise an equation environment, e.g. $$\frac{a}{b}$$ ($$\frac{a}{b}$$).

Are there any plans to extend to this functionality?

Currently we're using Milkdown and would like to migrate to Lexical. But we rely heavily on the equation environment. With that feature added it looks like we can migrate.
