Please add setting for the display brightness #866
Comments
Brightness can be adjusted on the badge by pressing the lower button for 1s, there are 4 levels to cycle through. |
Is this issue still open to be worked on :) |
@angrezichatterbox This issue is also still open now. Please feel free to make a PR about it. |
Thanks :) I would be working on this issue. |
Yes, please go ahead, I hadn't time to look into it. |
Could you please provide some guidance on where to add these settings? Should they be similar to how speed is set in the “Create Badge” section? |
Describe the feature you'd like
The python application has the -B switch to set the display brightness. It mostly works. Please add this setting to the application.

Additional context
Lower brightness saves battery power thus the badge can operate longer. This is useful especially at night when the 100% brightness can be too much.
Would you like to work on the issue?
I could work on the issue if nobody is interested.
