Description

After loading all the Monserrat and Source Sans Pro TTFs, only some are able to render in Qt widgets.

The name of the font should match what's in https://github.com/google/fonts/blob/master/ofl/montserrat/METADATA.pb and https://github.com/google/fonts/blob/master/ofl/sourcesanspro/METADATA.pb.

Example of a font that renders fine:
Montserrat ExtraBold

One that doesn't render:
Montserrat ExtraBold Italic

Closing after learning from @ninavizz, our whizz at vizz, to use the font weight numbers specified on the Google Fonts website for each font.
