Description

We don't have documentation for the local automated upgrade testing (currently libvirt-only), introduced via #3075. Fortunately, #3075 has decent documentation in the submission text! That information should be cleaned up and ported to the SD docs, so developers and maintainers can discover it.

User Stories

As a developer, I want to test my work comprehensively to minimize breaking changes.

As a maintainer, I want to point developers to clear documentation, rather than explaining several complicated steps ad-hoc.
