I got asked twice about this at Droidcon Berlin. Can we show it in documentation? We checked PullRequests, but it turned out I wasn’t reviewing the right pull requests which had the info (I was on dependabot PR’s and maybe there are other PR’s that don’t work). Then we checked the Releases page for Github and found the size of each package within the SDK.
Why not show it here? I think you pull the info for latest version from Github somehow:
open the link to Maven, it does not say size.
open the link to Github, it does not say size.
newrelic and uxcam (link) mention the size of theirs, as it's a Performance Concern.
I don't know why they want to know the size, but my guess is some kind of performance impact "overhead" concern.
Regardless the reason why they are asking, they are still asking for. Been asked many times across many sdk's for the size.
Suggested Solution
