kbdd - a userspace daemon/driver for serial keyboard devices
Uses uinput.
For Familiar-Linux based device use kernel >= 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36.11
Usage:
modprobe uinput
modprobe keybdev (not needed for fremantle)
kbdd -p /dev/<ser-port> -t <keyb-type>
Type on the keyboard and you should receive input in the focused window.
To disable auto-keyrepeat using X11 you can use the xset command
xset r off
Usage:
./kbdd [-d] [-h] [-c <config file>] -p <serial-port> -t <kbd type>
-d enable debugging output
-h print this help
-c <config file>
Read port and type from config file
-p <serial-port>
specify serial port device, default /dev/ttyS0
-t <kbd type>
specify the serial keyboard type, supported are:
foldable - Compaq/HP foldable keyboard
stowaway - Targus Stowaway keyboard
stowawayxt - Stowaway XT
snapntype - Snap'n'Type
hpslim - HP Slim keyboard
smartbt - Smart Bluetooth keyboard
lirc - LIRC consumer IR
belkinir - Belkin IR (not IrDA)
flexis - Flexis FX-100 keyboard
g250 - Benq G250 gamepad
pocketvik - GrandTec PocketVIK
microfold - Micro Innovations Foldaway keyboard
micropad - Micro Innovations Datapad
microkbd - Compaq MicroKeyboard
Example:
./kbdd -t foldable
