Paths used in history of edited objects list is invalid after reparenting a multi-selection #91447

Tested versions

  • Reproducible in: 4.3.dev (f91db3d), 4.2.2.stable, 4.2.1.stable, ...

System information

Windows 10.0.19045 - Vulkan (Forward+) - dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (NVIDIA; 31.0.15.5222) - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz (8 Threads)

Issue description

When reparenting a multi-selection, it remain in the history of edited objects list, but with invalid paths, and selecting it will cause errors :

godot.windows.editor.dev.x86_64_E5rXitpgjG.mp4

I noticed this while retesting #91265 and was not sure what was causing it so I needed to test it more, but with the new PRs that superseed that one, I realized that this is an old issue that's not related to any of that and that it remains even with those pending PRs fix.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Reparent a multi-select
  2. Click the history of edited objects icon in the Inspector's dock to open the list
  3. Click the multi-select in the list
  4. Witness the errors
