I don't think this is a name, probably marks the absence of a name in your data source.

You mean you don't want to name your kid "unnamed"?! 😛

The data is taken from the US Social Security administration, which has some caveats: https://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/background.html

I haven't taken the time to manually go through the list of names so there is likely also "Unknown" and "Baby" somewhere in there as per point 4 in the above, but should probably do that at some point.
