Description

Please create a data source for availability sets.
Our use case is to get a availability set id by a given name and use the AS to build our instance.
(And later we want to implement the logic: If it does not exist, create it, but that is another part)

New or Affected Resource(s)

  • azurerm_availability_set

Potential Terraform Configuration

data azurerm_availability_set "application1" {
   name = "application1"
}
resource "azurerm_virtual_machine" "instance" {
[...]
   availability_set_id   = "${data.azurerm_availability_set.application1.id}"
[...]
}
