Below is a list of commonly requested features or changes the developers can’t or won’t include in Anamnesis, or features that are planned for the future but not actively being worked on at this time.

Please note: Anamnesis is not CM Tool and CM Tool is not Anamnesis. The two tools are, at a fundamental level, too different to copy over solutions. Additionally, Anamnesis is primarily made by two people, and all the developers of Anamnesis have limited time, and are making this tool for free.

Pose Mirroring

Aside from requiring some fairly complex math that the devs don’t have the time or resources to do in the foreseeable future, the person who did this work for CM Tool has left the Final Fantasy XIV community. Additionally it is very difficult to implement generically and even if implemented may never work for non-player models. The developers do want to implement this - but it will take time.

As of April 2021, we have received support with this feature, and it is being worked on. Please look forward to it!

Gear Being Carried Across Loading Screens

The developers have no plans for this feature as it doesn’t really fall within the scope of ‘screenshot tool’. Additionally doing anything that survives loading screens is dangerous since memory gets weird while loading.

Delimiting the Camera Outside of GPose

This is a hard no, as the developers will not make tools that can be used to exploit the game and delimited cameras has been used for FoV hacks in PvP.

Voices

Anamnesis is designed as a screenshot taking tool. Voices and audio are not critical to this.

Reload Process

This feature is only useful in a couple of incredibly niche cases, and more often than not completely breaks.

Animations

The way that Anamnesis hooks into the game is purposely as non-invasive as possible. The level of injection required to manipulate animations far exceeds what we're comfortable to do, and as such animations would be better handled using tools that hook into the game on that level already. Dalamud (the backbone of XIV Launcher) fits the bill in this instance. Leon has already said he plans to look into it and, given his experience with writing plugins for Dalamud already (BDtH), we defer to his expertise on the matter. This plugin would best be used in conjunction with Anamnesis.
